Resetting is a procedure which bring blackberry 6230 to its original state, when it was come from factory. If you need to clear all user data you may execute resetting. Reset BlackBerry 6230:
In Blackberry 6230 "options' go to "security" menu, there is an option for "wipe handheld" after that it will ask you to type the word "blackberry", then the phone reboots and resets.
or you can try
Go to Options / Security. Set a password. Enter it incorrectly 10 times - follow the prompts. After the 10th time, it will reset the BB, wiping out all customer data.
